Head-Up Display (HUD)

A Head-Up Display (HUD) is an advanced visual technology that projects critical information directly onto a transparent display screen within the user’s line of sight. Originally developed for military aviation to assist pilots, HUDs have now become increasingly common in commercial aviation, automobiles, and even consumer electronics. The main objective of a HUD is to enable users to access key data—such as speed, navigation directions, or alerts—without diverting their gaze from the road, sky, or task at hand.
